You must have heard about run flat tyres. These are the new sensation to the drivers as they have the unique feature of running after getting punctured. No, that doesn’t mean, you can drive the car comfortably while the tyres are completely out of pressure, but driving 100 miles after getting punctured is possible. Run flat tyre has come into existence since 1994. Still, this has not gained immense popularity. Though all the leading tyre manufacturing companies come up with this tyre, people are avoiding installing those. Yes, driving without spare and toolbox reduces much load from your car. But, you can’t take such risk while driving long distance. You don’t know the area and maybe it become quite difficult to get assistance if tyres are punctured.

Traditional tyres can be repaired, but you don’t get that facility here. Once the run flat tyre gets damaged, you have to go for replacement. And, as usual that will cost you more.
Not Good for Rain and Winter-

Though run flat tyre assures safety, they are not good for driving in the rainy season or winter as those don’t have strong grip like conventional tyres.
